Senior Pictures for High School Yearbook:

It is once again time for all students graduating next year to have their picture taken for the yearbook.  All students need to have their picture taken by the school photographer in order to be in the yearbook. There will be no sitting fee if the picture is being taken for the yearbook only.  When your son/daughter goes to have their picture taken, they need to tell the photographer it is a yearbook picture sitting only and they will not be charged a sitting fee.  There are no exceptions to this, as the ID's are made from this picture, the ID's are used for the cafeteria for charging, for the library, and for attendance.  All pictures are placed on a disc in ABC order by grade and are then flowed into the yearbook layout.  It takes a lot of time to move pictures if we accepted outside pictures, as we need to move every picture forward manually and separately when we try to insert a picture.

Dates for sittings here at the school are:  June 20th, July 22nd, August 12th, August 28th, and September 6th.  Please make an appointment with Art Rich Studios for one of those dates.  The phone number is:  860-828-5093.

Senior Picture Requirements:

-Please wear a nice shirt for the picture.  No shirts/T-shirts with writing on them will be allowed.

-Please wear no sunglasses, hats, bandanas for the yearbook picture.

As this is a yearbook put together by the student body, we need many students to put the yearbook together.  If you would like to be a yearbook photographer, be a section editor, help with typing, or assist with proof reading, please fill out a yearbook student sign-up sheet.  The sheets will be in the office at the start of school, please leave filled out forms with Mr. Giella or Mrs. Thurber-Lund .

RHAM trip to Bermuda in July, 2014

RHAM High School will be offering a field trip in July, 2014 to the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS) for students who will be in grades 9, 10, or 11 during the 2013-2014 academic year. The focus of this trip centers around ecology and evolution and is intended for a student who possesses significant scientific inquiry (and enjoys slowing the pace to examine the natural world), is adventurous, enjoys the outdoors (especially being in ocean water), and is reasonably athletic (there will be a minimum of 2 miles of walking each day). Much of the trip is spent snorkeling over coral reefs, where there is good viewing of tropical fish and invertebrates, along with some hiking and kayaking. Time is spent each evening after dinner with BIOS staff in lecture/discussions . The cost of the trip is $2000 to cover flights, accommodations/meals, and additional expenses related to guides, lecturers, boat/bus trips, etc . If you have interest in the trip, contact Mr. Linden at Lindenric@reg8.k12.ct.us.

All students MUST have a current emergency form on file at the Nurse's office EVERY YEAR.  Check your backpack, the fridge at home, your desk at home.. Every student received a form when schedules were mailed back in August.  Several forms have been re-sent thru the mail. Many have been handed to individuals.  These forms must be signed by your parent or guardian, and returned to the Nurse IMMEDIATELY.
